Tableau Developer
Numero Data is currently seeking a Tableau Developer that will support a Business Intelligence development effort across the internal organization as well as external facing customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design data visualizations in reports and dashboards that identify trends and unlock key insights.
- Writing advanced SQL queries Responsibilities for the Tableau/ Business Intelligence Developer include:
- Design, development, and enhancement of reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and/or external customers.
- Create necessary documentation for all charts and dashboards using multiple data sources
- Write, interpret, and optimize complex queries working with large sets of data
- Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
- Lead requirements discovery sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
- Develop and maintain Tableau visualizations and reports; Develop ad-hoc Business Objects Web Intelligence Reports
- Design and implement proof of concept solutions and create advanced Business Intelligence visualizations
- Set up, extend and maintain self-serve environment Serve as a primary point of contact for Production Support issue resolution.
- Define or assist with best practices during implementation and integration of Tableau Platform
- Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
- Platform monitoring, licensing, availability and performance management, and service reporting (KPI)
- Incident management, showstopper resolution, root cause analysis
- Backup and recovery
- Usage monitoring, technical policies set up and controls, admin best practices, technical audits, training
- Assist in identifying and migrating data sources to tableau server
- Partner with business to design tableau KPI scorecards & dashboardsResource monitoring and repository Audit reporting, Backup and restore
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related TECHNICAL discipline
- 5+ years, Tableau, Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology such as SQL Server, DB2, Web, and OLAP
- Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server
- Database Systems, Queries, and ability to rationalize Entity Relationships o Report writing, analytics, visualizations, dashboard creation.
- System Admin (includes New site creation, Server maintenance/Upgrades/patches, Licensing, Schedule control).
Education/Skills Required:
- Any Tableau Admin advanced experience desired
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Tableau Software
- Basic Unix/Linux ( scripting to turn on and off or monitoring services etc. )
- SQL
Nice to Have Technical experience:
- Python scripting
- Java knowledge
